GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

  • We will have as our first priorities the protection of the public and the staff with emphasis being placed on the clients' responsibility to victims and the community with opportunities for positive change.
  • We will recognize and respect the dignity, value, diversity and unique contribution of all clients, employees and volunteers.
  • We encourage the diversion of appropriate low risk offenders from the Criminal Justice System to approved alternatives.
  • We will use measures of contact and supervision, consistent with public and staff safety and professional standards.
  • We will facilitate the use of community resources in the clients' rehabilitation so that all efforts will be subject to meaningful outcome based accountability.
  • We will collaborate with other agencies to promote crime prevention.
