Who can visit and what are the visiting hours?

NOTE
: Currently all on-site visitation is suspended due to the on-going COVID-19 restrictions.  Refer to Securus Video Visitation instructions below.

If your child is placed on a "hold" policy states only parents/guardians are allowed to visit.

If your child is here for an "evaluation" or for "programming" parents/guardians and siblings are allowed to visit.

All other visitors must have prior approval from the Program Director.

Residential:

Monday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. / 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. / 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
 

Secure Detention:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. / 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. / 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

SECURUS VIDEO VISITATION

ALL REMOTE VISITS must be scheduled 24-HOURS IN ADVANCE by following the instructions below:
  • Sign up by going to: www.videovisitanywhere.com
  • Create a free user account (if you don't already have one)
  • You will need to submit a picture and government photo ID for facility approval
  • Once approved by the Red River Valley Juvenile Center, you will receive an email notification.  Upon notification, contact the facility to schedule a visit

When can I call to speak with my child?
  
Monday through Friday: 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
 


Can I bring my child something to eat?

No food or drinks are allowed to be brought into the facility.

When will my child have court?

Court hearings will vary depending on the availability of judges.

RRVJC staff, or your County Court Administration will notify you of your child’s court hearing date and time.


Can my child write letters?

Yes.  Paper and postage will be supplied.


What will my child need?

All residents are provided with facility clothing and hygiene products.

Non-secure residents may receive from their parents/guardians a change of clothes and new-sealed-non alcoholic based personal hygiene products.
